National Corvette Homecoming: For All The Right Reasons!
When Joe Pruitt saw the potential of bringing Corvettes from all over the country back to Bowling Green for a weekend of fun, he joined the NCH partnership and spent years assisting in the planning and organizing of the annual show. Later, as some of the partners lost interest, Joe took over sole responsibility of the NCH. With lovely wife Vera by his side, the Pruitts have brought the NCH to new levels of attendance and the shows popularity is growing rapdily each and every year since 2005.
The focus of the NCH is that of a car show but it goes much further. While there are show classes for virtually every year, model and style Corvette, Joe has also added classes for steel bodied street cars, modifieds and customs. Not only do participants enjoy music, vendors, parts swapping, and reunions, but there is also fun to be had with dinner parties, DJ music and the very popular "Parade Through Bowling Green" where participants drive their cars through old and new Bowling Green and end up back at the NCH main parking area which converts to an outside concert area for live music featuring future super stars from our local area and Nashville. What could be better? How about the parade and concert are free of charge for all registered participants! Did I forget to mention the Miss National Corvette Homecoming beauty pageant? Yep, its back and the winner will be eligible for the Miss (or Miss Teen) Kentucky beauty pageants.
